Randy Chambers, "Coach Chambers"
FCA Wesley College Sports Ministry Director
Wesley College is committed to graduation rates of the players, personal development, the integrity of the programs, and now through FCA offers spiritual development. FCA is an international non denominational ministry. FCA's Vision is “to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.” According to Coach Chambers, “It is our goal to establish an environment where developing the total person, not just the total player, is a priority.”
Coach Chambers encourages Wesley athletes to set the standard for their peers by embracing Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do work at it with all your heart." Coach states, "FCA's success is not determined by wins and losses; our success is determined by the people of character athletes become."
We are committed to positively influencing athletes and coaches. We desire to offer a relationship with Christ not a religion and as a result offering an opportunity to grow and establish a foundation for life. You cannot demand respect from players and coaches, their respect and the right to be heard is earned through serving them.
FCA offers a team chaplain program (football, lacrosse and basketball currently are utilizing team chaplains), team Chapel meetings, team prayers, one on one meetings, Biblical discipleship, leadership development, community service initiatives and numerous spiritual development opportunities on campus.
