YORK, Pa. - Wesley College's Kevin Murphy has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Co-Player of the Week after leading the Wolverines to a 3-1 week.
Murphy hit .400 with five runs, 10 RBI and provided several key game-winning hits for Wesley, which moved up to fourth place in the CAC. His three-run homer in the 14th inning helped the Wolverines top Haverford. He followed that with four hits and five RBI as the Wesley handed Stevenson its first CAC loss of the season. Murphy also started a five-run rally in the sixth inning with an RBI hit as the Wolverines secured a split in the CAC DH vs. Stevenson with a 5-3 win.
Stanley led York to a 5-0 week, including a three-game sweep vs. St. Mary's, by hitting .462 with six runs scored, and seven RBI and two homers.
Wesley is back in action with single road games at Arcadia on Tuesday and at Gallaudet on Wednesday, March 25.
