Beavers Works Out at Delaware Pro Day

NEWARK, Del. -  Wesley College wide receiver/return specialist Larry Beavers (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) worked out for pro scouts at the University of Delaware's Pro Day on March 10.

Beavers ran the 40 in 4.37, had a 37-inch vertical jump, 10-1 broad jump.

Also a standout in track & field, Beavers has qualified for the 2009 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. 

With the Wolverines, he had 10 career kickoff returns for touchdowns and three punt return touchdowns to set a Division III record for return touchdowns.

Panthers GM Marty Hurney was among the representatives from six NFL teams at Tuesday's pro day, which featured prospects from Delaware, Delaware State and Wesley.  Players ran outdoors, with temperature in the low 40s and a light a wind.
