NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Wesley College's Aaron Jackson (New Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) and Mike Asiedu (Yonkers, N.Y./Gorton) won Atlantic Central Football Conference Player of the Week honors after leading the Wolverines past Division II North Greenville.

Jackson won Offensive Player of the Week honors after rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  The effort vaulted him into fourth place on the Wolverines all-time rushing list.

Asiedu won the weekly award for defense after making 10 tackles, including eight solo stops, in the win.  The sophomore linebacker had two tackles for loss and forced and recovered a fumble that led to the Wolverines' go ahead score in the game.

It marked the second straight week a Wesley student-athlete has won the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

The Wolverines will look for another win when they travel to Delaware Valley on September 19.
