Wesley Climbs D3football.com Poll

Complete Poll

MINNEAPOLIS - The Wesley College football team climbed to fourth in the latest D3football.com Top 25 rankings after a 39-0 win over Apprentice.

Wesley's win, coupled with a loss by Mary Hardin-Baylor loss, created a scenario for the Wolverines to climb to fourth.

The Crusaders were third last week, but Mississippi College pulled off a 17-14 upset with a last second field goal.  The Choctaws, among teams receiving votes last week, jumped into the rankings at No. 15.

Mount Union is once again No. 1, receiving 19 first place votes.  No. 2 UW-Whitewater garnered the final six first place votes.

Wheaton (Ill.) climbed from fourth to third and is the lone other team ahead of the Wolverines in the rankings.

Wesley, off to the third best start in school history at 6-0, will host Webber International on October 24 in the beginning of a four game homestand to end the regular season.
