Wesley Moves Up to No. 3
MINNEAPOLIS - The Wesley College football team moved up to third in the latest Top 25 rankings released by D3football.com.
The Wolverines were able to move up after a 34-7 win over visiting Webber International and a loss by last week's No. 3, Wheaton (Ill.) to North Central (Ill.).
Wesley now trails just top ranked Mount Union and No. 2 UW-Whitewater in the rankings. The Purple Raiders received 19 first place votes, while UW-Whitewater garned the remaining six.
After the Wolverines, the next three teams in the rankings all moved up a spot as well. St. John's (Minn.) checks in at No. 4, followed by Linfield and Central.
North Central moved up to No. 9 after their win over Wheaton (Ill.), who dropped to 14th.
Wesley hosts Salisbury in the Route 13 Rivalry on October 31 at 1:00 PM.
