AFCA Ranks Wesley Third
WACO, Texas - The Wesley College football is ranked third in this week's Division III Top 25 by the American Football Coaches Association.
Just as in the D3football.com Poll, the Wolverines moved up one spot after a 34-7 win over Webber International, coupled with a loss by last week's No. 3 team, Wheaton (Ill.).
Mount Union captured 39 of the 40 first place votes, with No. 2 UW-Whitewater receiving the remaining one.
The next five teams after Wesley all moved up one spot as well, starting with fourth ranked St. John's (Minn.) and followed by Central (Iowa), Washington & Jefferson, Linfield and Case Western Reserve.
Wesley, 7-0 in 2009, hosts Salisbury in the Route 13 Rivalry on Saturday, October 31 at 1:00 PM.
