Wesley Third in Both National Polls

ECAC® Lambert Meadowlands Division III Poll by FieldTurf Tarkett

DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College football is ranked third again this week by both D3football.com and the AFCA.  The Wolverines are also No. 1 in the ECAC® Lambert Meadowlands Division III Poll by FieldTurf Tarkett.

Wesley stayed at No. 3 in both national polls after a 28-13 win over Division II Lake Erie College.  The win also kept the Wolverines atop the rankings for Eastern supremacy.

It is the third week Wesley has been No. 3 in the national rankings, but is the fifth consecutive trip to the top the Lambert Meadowlands poll.

In both the D3football.com and AFCA polls, Mount Union and UW-Whitewater are ranked ahead of the Wolverines.  The Purple Raiders received 39 of 40 first place votes from the AFCA and 19 of 25 from D3football.com and are No. 1 in both polls.  The second ranked Warhawks received all of the remaining first place votes in both sets of rankings.

Wesley, 9-0 in 2009, hosts Ohio Dominican in the regular season finale for the Wolverines on November 14 at 1:00 PM at the Scott D. Miller Stadium.
