2009 (Junior): Named D3football.com Second Team All-American as a defensive back...D3football.com All-South Region...ECAC All-Star...All-ACFC First Team...ACFC All-Academic...Shared Team MVP Award...Team captain...Led Team with seven interceptions and was second in the nation with 208 interception return yards...Had interception return touchdowns vs. Christopher Newport & Newport News...Broke up 12 passes and caused four fumbles...Blocked a punt in NCAA South Region Championship vs. Johns Hopkins that led to TD in 12-0 victory.

2008 (Sophomore): Voted Team Captain for 2009 season...All-ACFC First Team at safety...Academic All-ACFC...Second leading tackler with 70 and eight TFL...Named ACFC player of the week vs. Apprentice had interception, pass defended and six tackles in 48-0 Homecoming win...Wolverines Defensive Player of the Year in 2008.

2007 (Freshman): One kick return for three yards...Made 18 tackles...Season-high four tackles in NCAA first round against Hampden-Sydney...1.5 TFL on the year..Academic All-ACFC.

Personal:  Born 11/5/88...Son of Roger and Melanie Benson...Both parents attended Penncrest High School in Media, Pa. with Wesley Head Coach Mike Drass...Roger and Coach Drass were teammates on the football team and Melanie starred in track...Brother Roger, played football at Division II West Chester.
