Wesley Advances to CAC Semifinals with 1-0 Win

DOVER, Del. - Susan Neylan scored at 1:39 and a stingy Wesley defense made the goal stand as Wesley defeated York (Pa.) College 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the Capital Athletic Conference Championships. 

Neylan took a shot from the right about 10 yards out just over a minute and a half into the contest for her seventh goal of the year. 

The Wolverines (12-4) held the Spartans (6-15) to just three shots in the contest and just one shot on goal.

With the win, third-seeded Wesley advances to the semifinals of the conference tournament to face the No. 2 seed, St. Mary's (Md.).  St. Mary's won its quarterfinal over Hood 5-0.

The Wolverines travel to St. Mary's City, Maryland on October 31.
