Four Named to National Academic Squad

DOVER, Del. - Four members of the Wesley College field hockey team were named to the 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.  Amanda Fisher, Katelin Hower, Anna Moore and Brooke Tadlock all earned the distinction for excellence in the classroom.

Fisher, a sophomore, started 16 of the teams 17 games and appeared in every contest at back.  She is a product of Lake Forest High School and is originally from Felton, Delaware.  The local product is majoring in political science.

Hower is a nursing major from Duncannon, Pennsylvania.  A graduate of Susquenita High School, the freshman back saw action in eight games as a reserve back.

A third back, Anna Moore, also earned the honor.  The freshman business administration major from Odenton, Maryland played in nine games as a reserve in 2007 after graduating from Arundel High School.

Freshman forward Brooke Tadlock also earned the honor.  A native of Middletown, Delaware and a graduate of Middletown High School, she started 15 of the 16 games in which she appeared.  Tadlock, a nursing major, was second on the team with nine goals and her four assists and 22 points each tied for second on the team.

Wesley finished its 2007 season with a 12-5 record and advanced to the CAC semifinals.
