Bailey Named to National Honor Roll

DOVER, Del. - Wesley College senior Erin Bailey (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Cape Henlopen) was named to the Division III Weekly Honor Roll by womenfieldhockey.com.

It is the second honor of the week for the midfielder after also earning Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.

Bailey scored both regulation goals in Sunday's 3-2 CAC victory over visiting Mary Washington.  Bailey, who also had an assist on the midweek game-winning goal vs. Rosemont, helped the Wolverines to their biggest conference victory since joining the CAC.

With a new career high in goals and points already this season, she has helped the team jump out to a team-record 7-0 start, including two CAC victories.

Bailey is the second Wolverine this season to be named to the weekly honor roll.  Wesley's Sarah Johnson (Honeybrook, Pa./Twin Valley) was chosen on September 7.

The Wolverines are idle until a match on September 27 at Lynchburg.
