Tadlock Scores Twice in OT Win

UNION, N.J. - Senior Brooke Tadlock (Middletown, Del./Middletown) scored just over eight minutes into overtime to lift Wesley to a 2-1 win over Kean.

The two teams were deadlocked at 0-0 for much of the first half before Tadlock took an assist from newcomer Madison Leone (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) at 31:25 for a 1-0 Wolverine (1-0) lead.

That advantage lasted barely a minute, however.   At 32:26, Kean's (0-1) Makia Sturgis knotted the game and the two teams went into the half tied at one apiece.

After outshooting the Cougars 11-4 in the first half, Wesley held a 7-3 shot advantage in the second half, but neither team could find the back of the cage.

Tadlock's second goal of the night lifted Wesley to the win on just the second shot for either team in the extra period.

Sarah Johnson (Honeybrook, Pa./Twin Valley) made two saves for the Wolverines.  Lauren Dobbs made a pair for Kean.

Wesley is back in action on Saturday, September 4 at 1:00 PM when Richard Stockton visits Scott D. Miller Stadium.
