Leone Named To ECAC All-Star Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Midfielder Madison Leone (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey All-Stars Team, the organization announced today.  A second-team selection, Leone is believed to be the first Wolverines field hockey player to be named to the ECAC All-Star Team.

In just her second season at Wesley, Leone led the Wolverines with 18 goals and 43 points which were third and fourth in the Capital Athletic Conference, respectively.  A first team All-CAC honoree in 2011, Leone already ranks fifth in Wesley history with 39 goals and 93 total points.

The Wolverines finished the 2011 season with a 12-10 overall record with a 5-2 mark in the CAC.  Wesley advanced to the CAC Championship Game and ECAC Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals.
