Wesley Plays in Ted Keller Memorial

GLEN ALLEN, Va. - The Wesley College golf team finished 11th at the Ted Keller Memorial hosted by Randolph-Macon.

After shooting an 80 in the first round, Chris Osberg (Amherst, Va./Amherst) rebounded with a 71 in the second round for a 151 and a 12th place finish to lead the Wolverines.

Four shots back was Robert Ehrhardt (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon) in a tie for 28th (76-79).  Alec Kessler shaved three strokes off his score in the second round to finish 43rd with a 159 (81-78). 

 J.D. Cooney (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) ended the tournament in a tie for 50th with a 164 (78-86) and Rob Zimmerer (Franklin, N.J./Wallkill Valley) turned in rounds of 83 and 84 to finish 55th (167). 

As a team, the Wolverines shot 315-312 to finish one stroke behind 10th place Averett in the tournament held at the Hunting Hawk Golf Course in Glen Allen, Virginia. 

Bridgewater's Mike Redwood topped the leaderboard with rounds of 71 and 72 on the par 72, 6,882-yard course.  Christopher Newport totaled a 597 (292-305) to win the team title.

Wesley will look to improve at the Bent Creek Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall on October 5.
