Wesley Competes at Bent Creek
LITITZ, Pa. - Wesley College's golf team hit the links at the Bent Creek Fall Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall, finishing 10th in a 20 team field.
Alex Patterson (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the Wolverines on a windy day at the par 71, 6,232 yard course, finishing in a tie for 30th with an 84. Zach Slifer (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) was one stroke back, tied for 34th.
Clayton Bunting (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Tech) and Erik Shellenhamer (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) turned in matching 87s to tie for 49th. Brady Demey (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) shot a 92 to tie for 74th.
Messiah won the team competition with a 303, while Albright's Erik Thorn turned in a two-under 69 for the individual crown.
The Wolverines are back in action on October 17-18 at Wilmington.
