Johnson Named CAC Player of the Week
YORK, Pa. - Wesley College senior guard Rashawn Johnson (Selbyville, Del./Sussex Tech) was named the CAC Player of the Week after his performance in a pair conference wins over Stevenson and Marymount.
Johnson was named Player of the Week for the second time this season after averaging 27 points in a pair of conference victories and becoming the first player in Wolverine history to each the 2,000-point plateau. Johnson knocked down 33 points, with help from five offensive rebounds, in a four-point win at Stevenson Thursday. Two days later, Johnson tallied 14 of his 21 points in the final 20 minutes, including his 2,000th-career point, in a come-from-behind victory over visiting Marymount to keep the Wolverines undefeated in CAC play.
The Wolverines all-time leading scorer shared the award November 17.
Wesley will look for its fourth straight victory on Wednesday, January 14 when Salisbury visits Wentworth Gymnasium for a CAC match up.
