Johnson Adds ECAC Co-Player of the Week

CAPE COD, Mass. - Wesley College's Rashawn Johnson (Selbyville, Del./Sussex Tech) was named the ECAC Division III South Co-Player of the Week for his efforts in Wesley's three-win week last week.

Johnson averaged 29.3 points for the Wolverines as they stretched their win streak to eight straight. The senior recorded 30-plus point performances against St. Mary’s (32) and York Pa. (30), while also netting 26 against Mary Washington. For the week, Johnson shot 59 percent from the floor, while making 11 three pointers and 17-of-19 free throw attempts.

Johnson was also named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his efforts.

He shared the award with Ajani Edwards of the SUNY Institute of Technology.

Wesley, 12-5 in 2008-09, has since stretched its win streak to nine games with a Monday evening win over TCNJ.  The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday, when they travel to Gallaudet for a 4:00 PM tip off.
