Johnson Honored by D3hoops.com

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Wesley's Rashawn Johnson (Selbyville, Del./Sussex Tech) added another weekly honor, as the senior was named to D3hoops.com Team of the Week after leading the Wolverines three wins last week.

Johnson, who had already won the Capital Athletic Conference and ECAC Division III South Player of the Week awards, averaged 29.3 points in a 3-0 week. Johnson shot 59 percent from the field, including 11-of-24 from three-point range, and dropped in 17 of 19 free throws for Wesley.

He was one of just five players nationally honored by the website.  Other members of this week's men's team include Davon Barton of Christopher Newport, Aaron Thompson of Washington University, Norwich's Robert Thurman and Jose Guitian of Lasell.

Wesley, 12-5 overall, is 8-0 in the CAC and is in the midst of a nine-game win streak.  The Wolverines return to action on Saturday, January 31 when they travel to Gallaudet for a 4:00 PM tip off.
