Wesley Adds JUCO Scoring Champ

DOVER, Del. - Wesley College men's basketball Head Coach Jerry Kobasa has announced that Manny Valentin will continue both his academic and athletic careers with the Wolverines.

Valentin will be a sophomore after playing as a freshman at Atlantic Cape Community College.  At ACCC, Valentin led the National Junior Athletic Association's Division III in scoring at 26.4 points per game. 

A 6-4 forward from Egg Harbor City, N.J., he also averaged 9.3 rebounds per contest in 2008-09.  The Absegami High School product was named All-Region 19 First Team and All-Garden State Athletic Conference First Team and was an All-America Honorable Mention.

Valentin joins a team that won the Capital Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships in 2008-09, advancing the the first NCAA Tournament in school history.
