Wesley Noted for Improvement
DOVER, Del. - The 2009 Wesley College men's lacrosse team had one of the largest improvements in NCAA Division III, according the LaxPower Computer Rankings, the website announced.
The Wolverines jumped 26 places in 2009 to tie for the fifth largets improvement. Wesley was also the only team of the top five to finish in the top 50 of the computer ranking, claiming 42nd in the season's final ranking.
FDU-Florham had the biggest improvement, climbing 31 spots from 2008. New England and Richard Stockton both improved 29 places to tie for second, while Elizabethtown showed a 27 place improvement. Wesley tied with Moravian for fifth.
The Wolverines added two wins to their total in 2009, going 11-6 and advancing to the semifinals of the both the Capital Athletic Conference and ECAC Metro/South tournaments in the team's first year under new head coach Bill Gorrow.
