Men's Lacrosse stumbles to Neumann

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team fell 13-5 to the Neumann Knights at home in Atlantic East Conference action on Wednesday.

Leo Kelly tallied a hat trick to lead the Wesley offense. Kelly had two goals in the first half of the game. Kelly added three ground balls and a caused turnover.

Adam Tewey and Derek Hallock each notched third-quarter goals for Wesley. Jack Guzman, Zach Farnell and Kyle Mackall-Lloyd added helpers in the loss. Farnell and Mackall-Lloyd scooped up four ground balls apiece. Tewey recorded three ground balls with three caused turnovers while Hallock registered two caused turnovers and two ground balls.

Joshua Short picked up his first collegiate assist on Kelly's goal in the second quarter. Short paced the Wesley defense with a game-high five caused turnovers.

Dylan Sicca stopped seven shots in goal for Wesley.

Drew Condon had six goals and three assists for Neumann.

Wesley will step out of conference action to take on the La Roche Redhawks on Saturday. The contest will start at 1 p.m. Prior to the game, Wesley will honor their three graduating seniors for Senior Day.
