Taswell Named CAC Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College sophomore defender Craig Taswell was named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Co-Player of the Week after leading the Wolveirnes to a pair of shutout victories.

He shares the award with No. 3 York (Pa.)'s Lucas Emil.

Taswell (Latham, Md.) anchored a Wesley defense that shut out a pair of CAC foes, allowing just two shots on net in a 1-0 win at Marymount and just three attempts in a whitewash against Hood. The team captain also scored the first goal and assisted on the second score against Hood for his first points of 2008.

It is the second straight week that a Wolverine has shared the award.  Fellow sophomore Matt Nimmerichter shared the award the previous week after scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals in Wesley's win over nationally ranked Salisbury.

Wesley is now unbeaten in its past eight matches (6-0-2) and carries an 8-3-2 record into a non-conference match at Washington College on Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 PM.
