Talarico Shares Player of the Week Award

YORK, Pa. - Wesley sophomore goalkeeper NICK TALARICO (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands) and York senior midfielder Chris Ports were named the CAC Men's Soccer Co-Players of hte Week after leading their respective teams to championships in road tournaments this weekend.

Talarico was named the Most Outstanding Player after leading the Wolverines to a championship at the RMC Select Tournament. He made 10 saves in two matches, including six in a second-day shutout against host Randolph-Macon for a 0.52 goals against average and a .909 save percentage.

Ports, seeing his first action since 2006 after missing last season with an injury, contributed five points in two matches at the VCAM/CNU Classic.

Wesley, 2-0 in 2008, will head to the Jimmy Mills tournament at Haverford on September 6-7.
