Box Score

ARLINGTON, Va. - A goal by Omar De Los Santos at 48:52 proved to be the game's only score in a game that featured just four shots on goal combined as Wesley defeated Marymount (Va.) 1-0 in Capital Athletic Conference action.

Wesley (7-3-2, 3-1-1 CAC) fired off three shots in the first three minutes of play, but none were on goal and each team had just one shot on net in the opening half.

The Wolverines were awarded a penalty kick in the 49th minute and Kyle Lawrence sent the ball to De Los Santos who finished the play with his second goal of the season for the 1-0 lead.

Nick Talarico had two saves to pick up his third shutout of 2008.

William Brahmstedt stopped one shot for Marymount (3-7-3, 2-2-1 CAC).

The win broke a third place tie in the conference between the two squads and leaves the Wolverines solely in third in the CAC standings.

It also extended Wesley's improved play of late as the team is now 5-0-2 in its last seven matches.

The Wolverines will look to keep that streak going with a home contest against Hood on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 PM.
