Wolverines Tied for 10th in South Region
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Wesley College men's soccer team remained tied for 10th in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III South Region rankings.
While the Wolverines, 10-3-2 in 2008, remained tied for 10th, the team they are tied with has changed. Washington & Lee dropped out of the rankings, with Maryville (Tenn.) entering in their place.
Wesley has shut out its last four opponents and has not been scored on in the past 433:24. The Wolverines are also in the midst of a 10-match unbeaten streak in which they are 8-0-2.
Last week, Wesley picked up shut out wins over Washington College and Valley Forge Christian College.
Wesley is just one of four Capital Athletic Conference teams ranked in the South Region. York (Pa.) is the No. 1 team in the region and ranked second in the nation. Salisbury checks in fifth in the region, three places ahead of the University of Mary Washington.
The Wolverines will face off with the Spartans (15-0-0) on Wednesday, October 22 at 4:00 PM at Graham Field on the York College campus. The Spartans' Sports Information Department will provide live stats and streaming video. Links can be found by visiting the Wesley College men's soccer schedule page.
