De Los Santos Earns CAC Honor

YORK, Pa. - Wesley freshman Omar De Los Santos was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week after assisting on the game-tying goal and scoring the game-winning goal in the eighth minute of overtime to lift the Wolverines to a 2-1 win over St. Mary's in the opening round of the 2008 CAC playoffs.

De Los Santos (Prescott Valley, Ariz./Prescott Valley) sent a cross to Kyle Lawrence, who headed the ball into the back of the net in the second minute of the second half to even the match, then took a long crossing pass, stopped the ball and cranked a shot from left to right to advance the Wolverines in the conference playoffs.

Wesley will now advance to the CAC Semifinals where the team will travel to undefeated York (Pa.), ranked No. 2 in Division III.
