Clark Notches 200th Win

Box Score

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Wesley came back from a 1-0 deficit in its season opener to give Head Coach Steve Clark his 200th career victory with a 2-1 win at McDaniel.

Omar De Los Santos (Prescott Valley, Ariz./Prescott Valley) scored a goal and assisted on another in the victory.

It was the Green Terror (0-1), however, who scored first with a header by Timothy Wineke in the match's 11th minute.

Wesley (1-0) tied the game late in the 25th minute when Saidu Fofanah (Yeardon, Pa./Pennwood) redirected a pass from Luis Rivera (Rockville, Md./Rockville) to a waiting De Los Santos.

De Los Santos and Josh Chellah (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) erased the tie nine minutes later.  De Los Santos centered the ball and Chellah headed it home for the game winner in his first collegiate game.

"It wasn't a great start, but it was good to show the team show the courage to come back from an early deficit," Clark noted on his milestone evening.  "Their effort definitely a good starting point for us to build upon this season."

Nick Talarico (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands) made a pair of saves in net for the Wolverines, while a pair of keepers combined to make three stops for McDaniel.

Wesley will look to stay in the win column when they travel to Swarthmore for the Garnet Alumni Classic on September 5-6.
