Defensive Struggle Goes to Catholic
WASHINGTON, D.C. - In a game where the two squads combined for just 16 shots, the Wesley College men's soccer team fell 1-0 at Catholic, ranked No. 10 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Neither team was able to mount much offense throughout the contest until the Cardinals' (13-3-1) Tyler Bills took a pass from Brian Maher and sent it home for the game's only score.
Nick Talarico (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands) stopped four shots for a Wesley (10-8) squad playing without several starters due to injury.
Quinn Daly made a pair of saves for Catholic.
The contest was the Wolverines' final tune up before traveling to Stevenson for the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference playoffs on October 31.
