Smyth Honored by CAC

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College's Andrew Smyth (Delran, N.J./Delran) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Co-Player of the Week after his performance in a match against Division I Maryland Eastern Shore.

Smyth captured the fourth singles and second doubles points in Wesley's 5-4 setback.  He won in singles play 6-2, 3-6, 7-2 after teaming with Ryan Fish (Rancocas Valley, N.J./Rancocas Valley) for an 8-2 win in doubles action.

He shares the award with York's Steve Collison who ent 2-1 in both fourth singles and third doubles last week for York.

Smyth is the first men's tennis player to earn CAC Player of the Week honors since the Wolverines joined the conference last spring.

Wesley is back in action on Saturday, April 4 with a home match against St. Mary's (Md.).
