College: Delaware '98
Major: English/Journalism

Kelley Cole completed her first season as the head coach of the Wesley College tennis teams in 2010.

Her initial women's team advanced to the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time in school history and posted more victories than the program had in the previous five years combined.  The team's three-match win streak early in the year was the longest for the Wolverines since 2002.  Rebecca Pennington also became Wesley's first ever All-CAC Women's Tennis performer.  Her men's team also posted a two-match improvement in the win column despite losing a pair of starters to season-ending injuries.

Prior to taking over the Wolverines, Cole started the summer tennis program at Maple Dale Country Club in 2009.  She also worked with both the varsity and junior varsity squads at Smyrna High School in fall 2009 and is the coach of the World Team Tennis Junior Team at Smyrna.  Cole is responsible for beginning a USTA after school program at North Smyrna Elementary.

In addition, Cole has played in USTA competitive tournaments and leagues since 1999.  She has been rated as high as 4.5 on the NTRP scale and has reached the sectional championships in mixed doubles.

A local product of Dover High School, Cole was a Henlopen Conference Champion in 1992 and 1994 and was the runner up in the state tournament at third singles in 1994.  She also rose as high as third in the Delaware Under-18 rankings during that time.

Cole teaches English at Smyrna High School.  She and her husband, Scott, have a daughter Paisley and are expecting their second child.
