Wesley Competes at Maryland Invitational

LANDOVER, Md. - Wesley College's Larry Beavers (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) matched his NCAA Provisional time with a 6.90 in the 60-meter dash to finish third at the University of Maryland Terrapin Invitational.

Beavers won his heat in the 60 with a 6.98, then matched his time from last week to claim third overall.

Matthew Robertson set a school record in the 400-meter with a time of 53.91.

Beavers also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, where he qualified for the finals and finished 15th with a time of 8.72.

In the long jump, Chris Donisi (Woodbury, N.J./West Deptford) turned in a jump of 21-1 1/4.

Wesley is idle until January 31, when the Wolverines head to the Thomson Invitational at the University of Delaware.
