Donisi Sets Wesley Record
CHESTER, Pa. - Wesley College's Chris Donisi (Woodbury, N.J./West Deptford) set a school record in the long jump for the second straight week at the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University.
Donisi took second in the long jump with a mark of 6.95 meters (22-9.75) to best the mark he set the previous week by 10 inches.
Larry Beavers (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) won the 200-meter dash and added a pair of second place finishes. The senior ran a 21.88 in the 200-meter to win the event running in a heat with four Division I runners and two from Division II. His time matched his own school record, set last weekend.
Beavers was also the top Division III finisher in the 100-meter dash and the 110-meter hurdles. He ran a 15.81 in the 110 hurdles, second only to Temple's Joshua Louis, who ran a 15.11. Beavers won his heat in the 100, running an 11.06, but Harcum Community College's Allan Dooms ran a 10.99 for the win and Lamont McWilliams of Division II Cheyney ran an 11.06.
No team scores were kept at the invitational.
Wesley heads to the College of Richard Stockton on April 4 for the Osprey Open.
