Robertson CAC Co-Athlete of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College's Matt Robertson (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) earned the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Track & Field Co-Athlete of the Week after his record setting performance at the Osprey Open at Richard Stockton over the weekend.

He shares the award with Salisbury's Brandon Fugett.

Robertson shattered the school record in the 400-meter dash by nearly a second.  His time of 50.85 was nearly 1.5 seconds faster than his previous season best and nearly one second faster than the old school record of 51.71.

He is the second Wesley student-athlete to earn the honor this spring.  Senior Larry Beavers (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) was chosen the Co-Athlete of the Week on March 26.

At the Penn Invitational in Philadelphia, Fugett improved on his school record marks in the shot put and discus and finished second in both events.

Robertson and the Wolverines are back in action on April 10 at the Rowan Open.
