FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Wesley College's Larry Beavers (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) set one CAC record, three Wolverine records and ran a pair of NCAA Provisional times as Wesley finished fourth at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships.

Beavers ran a 21.62 to shatter the conference record of 22.11 in the 200-meter for the win.  He claimed second place in the 100-meter, but his 10.74 was a Wesley record.  Both times were NCAA Provisional marks and the eight fastest times in Division III in the events.

Beavers also took second in the 110-meter hurdles with his third school record of the day, finishing in 15.33.

The senior also helped the Wolverines claim first, second and third in the long jump.  Chris Donisi (Woodbury, N.J./West Deptford) had the winning jump of 22-4 (6.81 meters) to defeat teammate Roger Morales (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom).  Morales turned in a season best of 21-9.5 (6.64) to finish second, one place ahead of Beavers, whose 21-6 (6.55) was also his best of the spring.

Morales also added a fourth place finish to his day, clearing 6-1.5 in the high jump.

Travis Douglas (Vineland, N.J./Vineland) set the school record in the discus, taking second place in the event with a throw of 137-4 (41.85).  He was also sixth in the shot put with a 39-8.75 (12.11).

Will Evans (Newark, N.J./Malcolm X. Shabazz) joined Beavers in the 100-meter, crossing the line in 11.22 for fifth place.  It was his fastest time of the year.

Donisi, Evans, Reggie McIntyre and Beavers were third in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 43.16, Wesley's season best.

The Wolverines were fourth as a team with 72 points.  Salisbury won the team championship with 225 points.  Mary Washington was second with 188.5 and York (Pa.)'s 100.5 went third.

Wesley is back in action on May 1-2 at the Mason Dixon Championships.
