Blair Maginnis is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Wesley cross country and track & field programs.
Maginnis comes to Wesley after graduating from Moravian College in May 2009 with a degree in sociology.
Maginnis was a two-sport student-athlete for the Greyhounds, competing in track & field and football. He found his most success in track & field, however, winning three Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Year Awards and twice qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the shot put. The winner of seven conference conference titles, he won the shot put four times, two 35-lb. weight crowns, two discus championships and one hammer victory. In the shot put, Maginnis holds both the indoor and outdoor school records at Moravian. He also placed four times at the ECAC Championships during his career in the shot put and 35-lb. weight.
In the classroom, Maginnis was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta and Alpha Kappa Delta honors societies. He was named to the Landmark All-Academic three times, as well. Maginnis also was heavily involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, starting a chapter at Moravian and serving as a Huddle Captain for four years.
Maginnis is currently pursuing a master's in education from Wesley College.
