Softball Falls in CAC Tournament

SALISBURY, Md. - A seven run second inning by Villa Julie was too much to overcome, as Wesley College dropped a 10-0 final to the Mustangs in an elmination game at  the double elimination Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship Tournament.

The loss was Wesley's (7-24) second of the tournament, eliminating them from competition.  The Mustangs, meanwhile, survive to play York later in the day.

Villa Julie (11-12) got a strong pitching effort by Jessica O'Neill, who limited the Wolverines to just three hits in the game.

Lyndsey Ellsworth had her eighth double of the year for Wesley, while Kelly Caton and Jessica Morgan each singled in the loss.

Elizabeth Penniman went 3-for-4 in the win with three RBIs and a double.

Street took the loss, allowing seven runs in 1.2 innings.
