Wesley Swept by No. 23 Salisbury

DOVER, Del. - No. 23 Salisbury swept Wesley College in a Capital Athletic Conference doubleheader.
The Sea Gulls nine hitter, Meaghan O'Gara hit a three-run homer as part of a nine-run second inning in game one as Wesley fell 18-1 in five innings.
Stacy Davis picked up the win with three innings of two-hit ball. She also drove in three runs in the game. Jen Cahall had three hits and three Salisbury players scored three runs.
Wesley got its lone run in the contest on Carmen Walsh's (Rehoboth Beach, Del./St.Marks) first career home run, a blast to left center in the fourth.
In game two, Lauren Brenneman fell a single short of the cycle and drove in four runs in a 16-1 Wesley loss.
After the Sea Gulls scored three times in the first, Wesley scored in the bottom of the inning to cut it to 3-1. Lyndsey Ellsworth (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Tech) singled and advanced to third on a Salisbury miscue in the outfield before scoring on an RBI ground ball by Brittany Steele (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River).
Salisbury added two more runs in the third, but broke it open with a nine-run fourth.
Kelsey Mills went three innings to pick up the win, allowing just one hit and striking out seven.
Wesley will look to snap out of a four-game skid when Hood visits for a CAC doubleheader on Saturday, March 28 at noon.
