WASHINGTON, D.C. - Wesley College held Gallaudet to just 28 percent shooting as the Wolverines picked up a season sweep over the Bison with a 68-51 win.

Colleen Thomas (Howell, N.J./Howell) made six threes in the game on her way to a team-high 20 points.

The Wolverines took control of the game early with a 16-0 run in the first half.  During the run, Wesley (11-7, 7-2 CAC) forced Gallaudet (5-13, 0-10 CAC) to miss 10 straight shots over a span of 7:31.  Allison Beddia (New Castle, Del./Delcastle), meanwhile, scored nine of her career-high 16 during the run as the Wolverines built a 30-7 lead and cruised into the half ahead 36-17.

Wesley led by as many as 30 in the second half after a three by Thomas with 8:15 to play, 63-33.

Thomas hit 6-of-10 threes in the game, tied for the second most made triples in a game in the CAC this season.  Beddia sank 7-of-14 field goals and filled the stat sheet with six rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) and Cory Boyd (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) also had big games in the victory.  Owens notched a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Boyd handed out 11 assists.

The win was Wesley's third straight and 10th in its last 12 games.

Nukeitra Hayes led Gallaudet with 21 points and 16 rebounds in the loss.  Amanda Krieger also reached double figures with 14 points.

The Bison, however, were stymied by a Wesley defense that hounded them into just 7-of-35 shooting in the first half on the way to a 19-of-68 effort on the afternoon.

The Wolverines are back in action on Monday, February 2 when Stevenson (4-15, 2-8 CAC) visits Wentworth Gymnasium.
