Two Players Score Twice in Wesley Win

DOVER, Del. - Wesley College picked up its 10th shutout of the season with a 6-0 decision over visiting Penn State Abington.  Jessie Nino and Alaina Kustner each scored twice in the win.

Nino picked up the game winner with her first goal at 16:14 when the freshman got ahead of the Nittany Lion (9-5) defense on a breakaway for a shot into the center of the goal. 

Wesley (11-7-1) scored its next two goals in a span of just 44 seconds.  Nino set up Lauren Tarver for her eight goal of the season at  21:52.  Kustner then scored her first of the evening as the Wolverines carried a 3-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Tarver returned the favor, assisting Nino on a score at 55:46.  Shannon Marino scored on a penalty kick at 62:20 for a 5-0 lead before Kustner capped the evening with another goal at 78:20.

Wesley outshot the Nittany Lions 17-3.

At halftime, Wesley honored its seven seniors, who were playing their final home game.  Brittany Block, Ashley Eisinger, Kustner, Marino, Kyley McDevitt, Brittany Novak, and Kyle Savidge were recognized at halftime.

Wesley, who is seeded fifth in the Capital Athletic Conference Championships, will travel to fourth-seed St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday for a quarterfinal contest.
