Orrben Named All-CAC
YORK, Pa. - Senior forward Gina Orrben of the Wesley College women's soccer team has been named to the All-Capital Athletic Conference Second Team, as voted by the conference coaches.
Orrben (Hockessin, Del./A.I. DuPont) led Wesley with eight goals, six assists and 22 points. She finished third in the CAC in assists, eighth in points and tied for eighth in goals.
At the beginning of the season, Orrben won the first CAC Player of the Week Award of 2008 and was named the MVP of the Wolverine Soccer Classic after scoring a goal in each game of the tournament, won by Wesley.
Orrben was also named all-conference in 2005 when Wesley was a member of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.
She finishes her career fifth all-time at Wesley with 56 points and 23 goals. Her 10 career assists are tied for ninth in the Wolverine record book.
Wesley finished the 2008 season with a record of 8-10.
