Wesley Falls at St. Mary's 3-1
ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Wesley College's Samantha Hannibal (Baltimore, Md./Loch Raven) tied the game in the second half, but St. Mary's (Md.) scored just two minutes later and added another goal for a 3-1 win in Capital Athletic Conference women's soccer.
Hannibal scored her fourth goal of her freshman season in the 66th minute with an assist from Lacey Smith (Logan Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional) to even the score at 1-1.
Just over two minutes later, Erika Kenny sent in the game-winner off a corner kick by Sophia Esparza. Esparza later gave the Seahawks (3-5, 2-1 CAC) breathing room with a score at 81:12.
Sydney Kahan (Cranston, R.I./Cranston) made 10 saves for Wesley (3-5, 0-3 CAC) in the contest.
Grace Koplow had four stops for St. Mary's.
Wesley plays home matches next week against Trinity (D.C.), Gallaudet and Catholic.
