Pennington Earns All-CAC Honors

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College senior Rebecca Pennington (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) was named to the All-CAC Women's Tennis Singles Second Team.

She is the first Wolverine to make the All-CAC women's tennis team since Wesley joined the conference prior to the 2008 season.  The senior earned the first all-conference singles honor for a Wolverine since the 2002 season, when Courtney Straga was named All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.

Pennington was the Wolverines' top singles player and also played number one doubles.  She won eight total matches between singles and doubles.

She helped lead the Wolverines to their first victories since the 2008 season, snapping a 15-match losing streak.  The team also picked up its first ever CAC victories and earned the fifth seed in the conference tournament.
