Wesley Drops Season Finale

DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 final to Eastern (Pa.)  in the Wolverines season finale.

Julia Wright (Manasquan, N.J./Wall) had a hand in two of Wesley's three points.  She teamed with Kori Isken (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) for a 9-7 win at second doubles over Jacquelyn Sauder and Kim Kirk and then notched victory over Christina Haahs at fifth singles.

The Wolverines other point came via a 6-2, 6-3 win at fourth singles by Caitlin Grinstead (Dover, Del./Dover) over Amanda Prescott.

Stephanie Bentley (Fillmore, N.Y./Fillmore Central) went three sets at second singles before succumbing to Allison Verdic 4-6, 6-2, 6-0.

The match concludes Wesley's 2011 season.
