Biggus, Cox Lead Wesley at CACs

YORK, Pa. - The Wesley College women's track & field team finished fifth at the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the teams first year of Division III varsity status.

Sontia Biggus and Ashley Cox combined to score all 13 points scored by the Wolverines. 

Biggus finished third in the discus with a mark of 32.88 meters (approximately 107-10 1/2) sixth in the shot put with a heave of 9.32 meters (approximately 30-7).

Cox placed fifth in three events.  She long jumped 4.80 meters (15-9), ran the 100 meter hurdles in 17.32 and the 100 in 13.91.

Mary Washington won the team title with 251 points.  Salisbury was second with 198, over 100 more than third place York (Pa.).
