4x200 Runs School-Record at Penn Relays
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Wesley College's women's track team competed in the 4x200m Relay to close out the Penn Relays held at Franklin Field on Friday afternoon.
The squad of freshmen Angel Hall, Elizsha Streeter and Kiona Mency, as well as junior Stevi Carpenter were placed in the fastest heat of the day and ran a school-record 1:42.40 to finish 41st of 58. Winning the heat in the top overall time of the afternoon was Texas A&M while Columbia, Pittsburgh and Marshall were also paired against the Navy & White.
Among the teams that Wesley was able to defeat were Maine, defending Division III 4x100 champion Rowan and Army.
The Wolverines return to action on May 3-4 for the Capital Athletic Conference Championships held at Christopher Newport University.
