Wesley Outlasts Bryn Mawr

DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College volleyball team won in five sets over visiting Bryn Mawr.

The Wolverines dominated the first set 25-12 before the Owls rebounded to take sets two and three, 25-23 and 25-19.  Wesley rebounded to force a fifth set with a 25-18 win in the fourth set and then came from behind to win 15-13.

Lilia Brekke (Prescott, Ariz./Caesar Rodney (Del.)) led the Wolverines with 11 kills and three aces.  Carle Ax (Lewiston, Idaho/Lewiston) had eight kills, 13 assists and nine digs.  Nettie Choice (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) and Lindsey DiMuzio (Wilmington, Del./Padua Academy) paced the team in blocks. 

The win gave Head Coach Gerry Szabo his school record 14 win in just over a year with the fourth year program.

The Wolverines are back in action on September 23 at Hood.
