Wesley 11th at Don Cathcart Inv.
SALISBURY, Md. - The Wesley College women's cross country finished 11th as a team at the Don Carthcart Invitational at Salisbury University.
Kristine Bailey (Vancouver, Wash./Evergreen) led the Wolverines with the eighth fastest time in program history at 6,000-meters with a 26:30. Kayla Sherwood posted a 31:38 as the second Wesley runner to finish. Christina Moye ran a 32:33, 13 seconds faster than Kristen Sofia (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley). Lauren Koepper (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) rounded out the scoring for the Wolverines with a 36:53.
John Carroll (Ohio) edged out Division II East Stroudsburg for the team title. The Blue Streaks' Ashley Aberl won the individual crown in 22:14.
Wesley is back in action on October 3 at Goldey-Beacom.
