Seibert collects a trio of All-Region honors

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College senior shortstop Chris Seibert picked up three All-Region honors this week.

Seibert was selected on the 2018 and Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-South Region First Team. Seibert was also named All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Honorable Mention.

It is the second time that Seibert has been recognized on both the and Rawlings/ABCA All-South Region teams. He was recognized as a second-team honoree by both organizations in 2017. Last season, Seibert landed on the All-ECAC South Second Team. Earlier this month, Seibert collected the second All-Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) First Team award of his career.

Seibert led the CAC in hitting (.475), on-base percentage (.552) and slugging percentage (.850). He currently ranks fifth in NCAA Division III in batting average and on-base percentage and seventh in slugging percentage.

Seibert tied for third in the CAC in home runs (10) and tied for seventh in runs batted in (43) and doubles (13).

During the season, Seibert was honored by the ECAC as the Division III South Player of the Week three times, was named CAC Player of the Week on March 19 and earned a spot on the Team of the Week on March 20.
