PITMAN, N.J. – Senior defensive back Daquay Harris-Winbush was named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday for his performance in Wesley's 34-10 victory over Delaware Valley on Friday in a battle of two nationally ranked teams.
He kicked off his senior campaign by recording 11 tackles, four pass break-ups, and a quarterback hurry in a defensive performance which saw Wesley hold the Aggies scoreless in the second half. Harris-Winbush currently ranks tied for second in the NJAC in pass-break-ups (4.0 per game), while also ranking tied for third in overall tackles (11.0 per game).
After a bye week, the Wolverines will once again hold "Friday Night Lights" at Drass Field when they open conference play when they host the TCNJ Lion on Sept. 14. Kickoff is at 7 p.m
